In the shadow of the clocktower, a small car sideswipes a garbage truck and gets wedged beneath it. No one is hurt, but neither vehicle can move. The cars stuck behind them try to blast them apart with the power of their horns. That only worked for Joshua. I watch from the American-style fried chicken joint on the square as police, emergency workers, the drivers, passersby, tourists, and the valets from the nearby hotel gather and argue. Two women in white headscarves position themselves precisely in front of the scene, turn their backs to it, and take a perfect selfie.
