The new train station looks just like all the other ones, designed for efficiency rather than beauty. I pass through an enclosed walkway from the entrance and ticketing area, over a major highway, and down the stairs and elevators to the single platform. One whimsical touch stands out in the passage: the windows bear translucent cartoon-like drawings related to the trains. The images stretch across the corridor in the late afternoon sun. The colors illuminate and transform the white sneakers of a man with a guitar as he walks by.
